Need to Know Info
The 2013 CVC San Diego program has been submitted (but not yet approved) for a maximum of 39 hours of credit for veterinarians in full attendance and 30 hours of credit for technicians over four days in jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval. General four-day attendance earns veterinarians 32 hours of CE and technicians 27 hours of CE without purchasing any Clinical Techniques Course or Ask The Expert Luncheons. Each state’s licensing board will consider the program; check with your state’s board for the number of hours it approves. Some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/ or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. To record your CE hours, certificates of attendance will be included in your registration packet. (Texas and North Carolina veterinarians see below)
Texas and North Carolina Veterinarian CE Credit
Veterinarians licensed in Texas or North Carolina must track each seminar hour attended with a CE checklist. When you arrive, pick up the checklist at the tour/information desk and sign in on the sheet provided. Before you leave CVC San Diego, return your completed checklist to the registration desk and sign out on the sheet provided. A CVC staff member will verify your hours and give you a signed CE Certificate of Attendance. Don’t leave without your certificate — we can’t mail it to you! For more information, call us at (800) 255-6864, ext. 6.
All registered attendees and guests must wear a badge at all times. Attendees will not be admitted to lectures or the Exhibit Hall without a badge. An Exhibit Hall badge will be issued to a registered attendee’s guest if requested and applicable, but seminar attendance is for paid registrants only. Badges will not be mailed; you can pick them up on site at the registration desk. Exhibit-Hall-only badges are available on site for $45 for veterinarians, technicians, practice managers and team members who are affiliated with a practice and/or not working for an industry company. Exhibit-Hall-only badges do not receive access to seminar rooms.
Guests (e.g., spouses, significant others, children) are defined as people not working in the veterinary industry. All veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members must register and pay registration fees. Guests receive complimentary Exhibit-Hall-only badges when included on the advance registration form. On-site guest badges are $5. Children ages 10 to 18 receive free badges (list their names on the registration form); those under 10 do not require badges.
Proceedings Book or CD-ROM
Paid veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, students, and spouses attending seminars receive a 2013 CVC San Diego proceedings book or CD-ROM (distributed onsite) or, NEW this year, downloadable proceedings (available prior to the convention). Indicate your preferred format on the registration form. A limited number of additional books and CD-ROMs will be sold for $75 each at the registration desk.
