Stifle Stabilization after Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture

Gain a better understanding of extracapsular surgical repair and improve your proficiency in stabilizing the stifle in dogs after a cruciate ligament injury. Veterinary orthopedic surgeons will teach you the ideal surgical approach to the stifle and how to perform a partial meniscectomy and two variations of an extrascapsular approach suitable for most patients. You will also review the causes and pathology of cruciate ligament injury and discuss optimal postoperative patient care. Participants may find it helpful to review pertinent anatomy and orthopedic instrumentation before attending this course.
