Continuing Education Credits
The 2014 CVC Kansas City program has been submitted (but not yet approved) for a maximum of 55 hours* of credit for veterinarians in full attendance and 35 hours* of credit for technicians over four days in jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval. General four-day attendance earns veterinarians 32 hours of CE and technicians 32 hours of CE without purchasing any Wet Labs or Workshops or Ask The Expert Luncheons. Each state’s licensing board will consider the program; check with your state’s board for the number of hours it approves. Some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. To record your CE hours, certificates of attendance will be included in your registration packet. For more information, call the CVC Group at (800) 255-6864, ext. 6.
CVC is an approved sponsor to provide continuing education to New York State licensees.
Texas Veterinarians: Track your CE! Veterinarians licensed in Texas must track each seminar hour attended with a CE checklist. When you arrive, pick up the checklist at the Tour/Information desk and sign in on the sheet provided. Before you leave CVC Kansas City, return your completed checklist to the Registration Desk and sign out on the sheet provided. A CVC staff member will verify your hours and give you a signed CE Certificate of Attendance. Be sure to take your certificate with you — we regret that certificates cannot be mailed.
All registered attendees and guests must wear a badge at all times. Attendees will not be admitted to lectures or the Exhibit Hall without a badge. If requested and applicable, an Exhibit Hall-only badge will be issued to a registered attendee’s guest. However, seminar attendance is for paid registrants only. For a $45 fee, Exhibit Hall-only badges are available onsite for veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members who are affiliated with a practice and/or not orking for an industry company. Exhibit Hall-only badges do not receive access to seminar rooms.
Guests (e.g. spouses, significant others, children) are defined as people not working in the veterinary industry. All veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members must register and pay registration fees. Guests receive complimentary Exhibit Hall-only badges if registered in advance. Onsite guest badges are $5. Children ages 10 to 18 receive free badges; those under 10 do not require badges.
