Wet lab: Cytology skills Conducted by Dr. David Pinson Cytology is one of the most useful — but underused — diagnostic procedures. In this lab, you'll improve your cytologic examination skills by evaluating multiple cases representing common inflammatory and neoplastic diseases involving the skin, pleural and peritoneal cavities, and various organs. You'll also learn to distinguish diagnostic from nondiagnostic smears and inflammation from neoplasia. Equipment and supplies provide by Butler Schein Animal Health and Jorgensen Laboratories.
