CVC Kansas City Facts and Questions
CVC Kansas City will be held August 25-28, 2017, at the Kansas City Convention & Entertainment Centers, located at 301 W. 13th Street, Kansas City, MO 64105.
Continuing Education Credits
The 2017 CVC Kansas City program has been submitted, but not yet approved for a maximum of 36 hours of credit for veterinarians in full attendance and 29 hours of credit for technicians over four days in jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval. General four-day attendance without additional purchases earns veterinarians 29 hours of CE and technicians 29 hours of CE. Each state’s licensing board will consider the program; check with your state’s board for the number of hours it approves. Some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. To record your CE hours, a certificate of attendance will be included in your registration packet.
The practice management courses are applicable toward the continuing education requirement for the Certified Veterinary Practice Manager program offered by the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.
CVC is an approved sponsor to provide continuing education to New York State licensees.
Texas Veterinarians: Track Your CE!
Veterinarians licensed in Texas must track each seminar hour attended with a Texas CE form. When you arrive, pick up the form at the Tour/Information Desk and sign in on the sheet provided. Before you leave CVC Kansas City, return your completed form to the Onsite Registration Desk and sign out on the sheet provided. A CVC staff member will verify your hours and give you a signed CE Certificate of Attendance. Don’t leave without your certificate — we can’t mail it to you! For more information, call us at (800) 255-6864, ext. 6.

Guests (like spouses, significant others or children) are people who aren’t working in the veterinary industry. All veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members must register and pay registration fees. Guests receive complimentary Exhibit Hall-only badges when included on the registration form in advance. Guests, including children, do not receive access to the seminar rooms. Onsite guest badges are $5. Children ages 10 to 18 receive free badges (list their names on the registration form); those under 10 do not require badges.
All registered attendees and guests must wear their CVC badge at all times and will not be admitted to educational sessions or the Exhibit Hall without one. Educational session attendance is reserved for convention registrants only; guests are not allowed in sessions but are invited to visit the Exhibit Hall. Guest badges will not be issued to veterinary professionals who work for a veterinary practice or industry organization or company. These individuals may purchase an Exhibit Hall badge in advance or on site. All badges are available for pick up at the on-site registration desk and will not be mailed in advance.
